My contribution to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #106.
Last time I put up pictures of the mountain laurels, Bambi had stuck his nose into their fences and munched significant portions of the leaves. So I used portions of an old giant TV antenna to shore them up.
I guess Bambi took that as a challenge.
Almost all the leaves gone on all four, along with a lot of stems and plenty of branches.
Theda is both shocked and stunned.
And it's not like this was a harsh winter. Or there isn't a huge field of grass a stone's throw down the mountain.
And now for something completely different.

We're Outta Here!
My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #119.
I've often seen Mrs. House Sparrow on the left from the 2nd floor window and wondered, "What's up with that beak?" Now I can see it's a white patch of feathers on her forehead.
Here's Theda working hard at protecting the house:
Mr. Cardinal says, "I'm the star of this show!"
We're outta here!
We're outta here, part 2! (And I'm also linking to Anni's I'd Rather B Birdin'):

Forsythia Fence
My contribution to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #105. How about a nice forsythia fence?
Here's the mystery birdie bush. It won't be a mystery much longer.
These are house sparrows and song sparrows (striped breast):

Seems Like Spring
My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #118. Here we have the wolfhound family biting playing in the backyard.
Spring has sprung. The grass has riz.
I wonder where the boidies is? (I'm also linking to Anni's I'd Rather B Birdin'.)

Frisbee Reflections
My contribution to Eileeninmd's Saturday's Critters #117. And be sure to check out Anni's I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Not much new around here; I've got a couple of frisbee birdbath birds:
But there are some new flowers out: redbud and daffodils.

Half a Nutkin Fence
My contribution to TexWiscGirl's Good Fences #103. I've put up pics of this fence before, with the wind face. Here's one showing the wind chimes on the tree in front. They sound beautiful.
Here's an owl fence:
And here's Nutkin! There was a whole Nutkin, but only half was left by the time I got in focus:

Night Time Mystery Noise
Carmi's Thematic Photographic 368 is Night. For a week or so, I've been hearing a noise (not everyday) outside the window: Woo Woo Woo WOOHOO woo!" At first I suspected raccoons or possums, as there seemed to be several of them (whomever) running around on the ground. And no rodents I know make a noise anything like that.
Of course, neither do raccoons or possums. An owl couple? It happens between 2:30 and 4:30 A.M. Anywho, I wanted to try for a picture, but no chance of that practically speaking. So here's the birdie bush at night:

Here's the mystery birdie bush, on March 3 and March 4:
